Perspective: The Customer Manager is responsible for ensuring that the customer's implementation of SAP is successful and that there are measurable benefits associated with SAP. A Customer Manager must demonstrate knowledge and experience of SAP products and services and the ability to develop a solution strategy in the context of the customer's business. The Customer Manager is also responsible for the Integration of all stages of the Client lifecycle. Customer Managers align with an Industry vertical and focus on new initiatives that lead to mastering new areas. Creates opportunities with the customer and deploys and develops additional consulting resources in the identified new opportunities The Customer Manager leverages knowledge to develop Clients from a strategic perspective by providing thought leadership through many years of experience The Customer Manager is very visible within SAP and the client organisation and is recognised as a leader in Programme Management at senior management level Customer Managers are expected to build strong relationships and solid reputations within the industry and market they serve. Responsibilities: * Develops a detailed understanding of the customer's business requirements and drivers and positioning SAP in this context. Assisting with SAP strategy definition * Conducts regular status meetings with customers to resolve issues and requirements * Sets up joint executive sessions for sharing of knowledge and strategy * Maintains and expands client contact at high levels and builds credible relationships with key client personnel. * Understands client requirements and assists in selling additional business * Initiates CBI (Continuous Business Improvement) projects; tracking and ensuring benefits realisation * Interacts with SAP organisation as appropriate to deploy the requisite expertise to address specific client needs in a timely and efficient manner and ensures client access to the best available resources within SAP. * Works with SAP Implementation Partners to ensure seamless delivery of services to the client. Also informs SAP organisation of client needs and trends in the marketplace and alerts them to potential long-term opportunities * Analyses trends in the industry and makes recommendations * Conducts TCO and ROI studies * Conducts benefit tracking exercises * Ensures optimal use of SAP to maximize benefits for customers * Consults on CCC set-up to ensure that operation and support of SAP is optimal |
